Post-October 7
Response

Immediate Relief

With so many individuals and families horrifically impacted on October 7 on an unprecedented scale, and many more in the ensuing war, our Fund for Victims of Terror (FVOT) quickly began working overtime, with staff extending hours and volunteers helping answer calls.

Vulnerable Populations

The impact of the war quickly touched every part of Israeli society, and The Jewish Agency rapidly facilitated expanded support for Israeli senior citizens, many of whom are Holocaust survivors, new olim (immigrants), vulnerable Israeli youth in the geographic and social periphery and more.

Rehabilitating Communities

The Jewish Agency wasted no time supporting Israel in its time of need, facilitating volunteer opportunities and helping with Israel’s rebuilding process as well as ensuring the safety and well-being of participants in our programs in regions under fire.

Safety & Security

The safety and security of Jews worldwide has always been one of The Jewish Agency’s top priorities. Long before October 7, The Jewish Agency helped protect Jewish communities worldwide through our Security Assistance Fund, established in 2002.

Our Connections

Within one month of October 7, and amid the continuing Israel-Hamas war, global antisemitism had increased by 1,180%, according to a joint report released by the Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism, the World Zionist Organization and The Jewish Agency.
